Role :         SAP BO and Informatica PowerCenter Consultant
Location : Detroit, MI

1. SAP BO and 2. Informatica PowerCenter

Purpose of Role/Organizational Unit:

The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for developing and changing BusinessObjects (XI R3 and 4.1) components.  This role requires 7 years of BusinessObjects Development while accessing data from SAP BO and Oracle 11g environments. This role will work with business teams, so excellent communication skills are must.

 

General Functions/Responsibilities

• Develops and implements business intelligence tools or applications for accessing and analyzing data and meta data
• Develop test plans for new analytic applications and business performance dashboards and measurements
• Assist to develop and implement training program for users of the BI reporting tools
• Participate and/or lead in design sessions, demos and prototype sessions, testing and training workshops with business users and other IT associates
• Develop documentation and maintain as needed
• Provides business support for deployed BI applications

 

Unique Requirements: 

 

General:

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, consistently and meet deadlines
• Strong business/technical oral and written communication skills
• Experience creating metrics and highly visual reporting KPI's
• Strong working knowledge of different types of analysis tools, techniques and
• Demonstrated analytical ability and creativity in developing and implementing plans and solutions for complex problems on medium size projects
• Strong SQL skills

 

BusinessObjects:

• 7+ years of report development using the BusinessObjects Deski, and  Webi
• Strong experience in BusinessObjects Web Intelligence report development (5+ years)
• Experience in BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence report development (5+ years)
• Experience in BusinessObjects Rich Client report development (2+ years)
• Use BO formulas and variables to create custom measures and calculations
• Hands-on experience with a BusinessObjects report tuning and free-hand SQL

                                       

Educational Requirements: 

§  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent amount of work experience in business or IT consulting

Job Description :

Purpose of Role/Organizational Unit: This is a senior position that requires 10+ years of Informatica development. This organizational unit is responsible for managing the operational services delivery of the various elements of the Data Infrastructure including Informatica ETL Jobs.  In this capacity, this Senior Informatica ETL Developer role is responsible for code development within Informatica Tools.

 

Functions Performed:

The following functions are the responsibility of the Informatica ETL Developer within data management team.  This individual will be responsible to design and develop ETL jobs, perform code reviews, enhance standards, and performance tuning. 

 

Position Responsibilities

• Has expertise in various Informatica suite v9 or higher of products: PowerCenter, PowerExhange(CDC), and Data Quality.
• Expertise on ETL performance tuning
• Design responsibility for Operational and Data Warehouse ETLs
• Oracle and SQL knowledge is must
• Experiences with various tools such as Informatica Data Quality and Profiler Tools, are preferred, butPowerCenter is must.

 

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 10 years in Informatica tools and with focus in performance tuning
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter is a must have.
• Creation of complex parallel loads and dependency creation using work flows
• Data modeling and data mapping design experience

 

Unique Competencies: 

• Required – 10+ years' experience in Informatica PowerCenter
• Preferred - Informatica PowerExchange (CDC), Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Informatica Data Services  v9 or higher tools architecture and design

 

Educational Requirements: 

§   Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
