POSITION- Tableau Developer
LOCATION- Louisville, KY
Duration – 12 Months
§ Work with business subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand and document their analytics and visualization needs.
§ Design and maintain a library of shared data sources that enable business teams to create reports and dashboards and do ad hoc analyses as needed
§ Develop a library of report / dashboard templates that give business teams a jump start on creating common types of analyses
§ Work with data analysts and data engineers to ensure that the right data warehouse data resources are created for Tableau users to consume
§ Design and administer Tableau Server including how to best organize workbooks, data sources, and security, how to organize and optimize extracts and scheduled tasks
§ Help drive adoption of Tableau by business users for self-serve reporting through internal consulting, development assistance, training, demonstrations, and other approaches.
§ Define and socialize best practices for managing Tableau content and implementing enterprise standards.
§ Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, and Data Analysts in an agile environment
§ Minimum five 5+ years' experience in Business Intelligence and data warehousing including:
§ Excellent SQL skills primarily on the Oracle platform
§ Excellent data analysis / profiling skills
§ Ability to lead conversations with both business SMEs and technical teams
§ Experience working on an Agile development team
§ Minimum three (3+) years Tableau experience and a significant role in at least two end-to-end Tableau enterprise implementations including:
§ Establishing governance processes to organize and manage workbooks and data sources
§ Establishing and socializing best practices in Tableau dashboard design and implementation
§ Establishing a sustainable Tableau security scheme in concert with corporate security policies and platforms
§ Identifying and resolving significant Tableau performance issues
§ End user training and support
