Required Skills:

Installs, administers and monitors firewalls, data encryption and the Intrusion Detection Systems (IPS/IDS) to ensure protection of the CSD network; Performs duties to mitigate network security threats

Monitors and analyzes FTP connections for external interfaces and ensures data security and integrity; configures and administers Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections to external entities

Provides highly complex Tier 2 Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), WAN/LAN, Security, VPN, Firewall network and troubleshooting support for business areas of the Child Support Division

Interfaces and coordinates with the Network Managed Services vendors to provide administration, implementation and troubleshooting of the CSD-Network Managed Services (NMS)

Monitors and analyzes the network monitoring systems and provides reporting for circuit utilization and alerting; analyzes statistical trends and implements performance tuning

Conducts risk assessments, testing, threat analyses and audits of computer systems, IT infrastructure and security processes; recommends system and procedural changes in an effort to avoid security breaches; Supports ongoing compliance activities by researching and evaluating security policies and practices, industry standards and regulations

Researches available products, solutions, and emerging technologies and participates in efforts to review products and secure solutions; Investigates, recommends and implements new technologies, security enhancements and purchases
