Reporting to our clients Director of Engineering, Delivery, and Access, the Information Security McAfee Engineer will have technical responsibility for implementation and maintenance of the antivirus and anti-malware platforms (McAfee) and infrastructure. The primary objective of this position is to provide the technical skills required to implement, maintain, and upgrade this and other related product for use by the business.
- This product engineer will bring a deep technical and capabilities knowledge to support our clients Security Architect, Vulnerability Management program, and the Product Manager
- Expertise in antivirus/anti-malware products such as McAfee ePO (to include anti-virus, file integrity monitoring), Symantec Endpoint protection, and TrendMicro
- Ability to identify and translate malware threats and planning mitigation into antivirus/anti-malware policy rules
- Ability to work with Security Operations and Infrastructure teams to ensure integration of antivirus/anti-malware alerts with monitoring and logging systems
- Create and modify policies and procedures for modifications to the antivirus/anti-malware applications/tools
- Ability to architect and engineer antivirus/anti-malware solutions (for desktops and servers) in both lab and production environments
- Ability to rack, stack, and configure antivirus/anti-malware systems
- Tier 3 trouble shooting and analysis
- Big Picture Engineering support of users, groups, security domains, business processes that could be exposed to malware threats.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
- Must have 5+ years technical experience in IT security with McAfee A/V and File Integrity Monitoring
- Technical expertise in file integrity monitoring and configuration management
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in the following technical areas:
- Internet and networking technologies – DNS and TCP/IP in a diverse enterprise environment to include Linux, Windows and Mac endpoints
- Operating systems and user administration - Unix, Linux, Windows and Mac
- Web server and browser admin and configuration
- LDAP and Active Directory
- SANS Security and CISSP certification preferred
- Very proficient in Visio, Excel, Access, and SQL
- Act with principle - perform duties with integrity and ethically
- Keep our customers first. Be a team player
- Perform duties with quality and demonstrate craftsmanship always
- Ability to think independently and analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex business and technical problems related to all aspects of information risk
- Ability to create accurate and technically relevant reports
