Title: Lead Performance Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 9 Months
Rate: $75/hr C2C
Desired Skills and Experience:
--Experience with measurements and patterns required to analyze performance against APIs and services. Web and mobile (iOS/Android) client performance testing is a plus, as is familiarity with R, Pandas, SciPi or equivalent statistical analysis tools.
--Experience designing, executing, and reporting results with test plans for stress, performance, endurance, and capacity
--Understanding of the relationship between concurrency, latency, and throughput. Familiarity with LittleÂ's Law and how to apply it.
--Familiarity with JVM profiling, tuning and capacity planning
--Ability to build and/or use tools that facilitate monitoring, data collection, and analysis. Familiarity with Gatling is a plus.
--Passionate about driving a performance fast-moving engineering culture
--Self-motivated, organized and proactive, highly responsive, adaptive, easy to work with. Willingness to work in an environment where review peer is the norm.
--Can effectively communicate across multiple groups within the organization
--Curious and exploratory nature - be able to think outside the box, create and recommend tests where coverage is lacking, identify how the system would react to abnormal activity
--Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
