Position: Mainframe Consultant W/ OPS/MVS
Location: Bloomington, IL
Duration: 12+ Months
Required:-
7-8 years of experience is required.
In-depth OPS/MVS knowledge. Need to understand how to code OPS/MVS rules (MSG/CMD/EOJ/EOS/REQ/TOD) and OPS REXX as well as TSO/E REXX. Also need to understand how global variables are used as well as how to create/update/use OPS RDF tables.
In-depth JES2 & JES3 knowledge. JES2/JES3 commands as well as how JES3 Global & Local systems work.
In-depth Netview system automation knowledge or SAZOS as we call it. They need to understand everything about Netview, REXX, SA policy, CRT, timers, tables, global variables, etc.
Mainframe background. Knowledge of mainframe subsystems like DB2 & IMS as well as MQ.
Also knowledge of mainframe virtual systems, MVS skills.
Especially MVS commands, ISPF, EJES and JCL.
Experience on how to conduct testing in multiple automation environments like OPS/MVS & SAZOS.
EVIEW knowledge for supporting the product as well.
