LTE Modem L1/L2 Software Integrator and Tester







The Modem L1/L2 Software integrator/tester takes feature description
information and detailed technical requirements, creates an
integration strategy and test plans, designs the integration
environment and associated test scripts, and executes the test cases
on various modem software deliveries, debugs failing test cases, and
reports results. The integrators/testers need to automate the test
cases when executed as part of a regression test set. The features and
functions being verified involve user plane and control plane
processing and transport in both Layer 1 and Layer 2 in the LTE EnodeB
(base station). For example, cell configuration, random access, power
control resource block scheduling, etc. The integration/tester
frequently employs diagnostic tools for tracing and debugging in the
transport protocols, and in RF at the physical/radio interface, and
works closely with software developers.











Key Responsibilities / Functions:







* Analyze Feature Requirements



* Generates Integration and Test plans



* Execute and debug tests



* Automate test cases



* Work with Developers to debug issues.











Required Qualifications: Detailed knowledge and experience testing LTE
technology in Layer 1 (Physical) and Layer 2 (RLC/MAC/PDCP). Thorough
understanding of all control plane and user plane channels and
protocols. Knowledge and experience using LTE parameters defined in
3GPP standards for Layer 1 and Layer 2. At minimum, 5 years experience
with integrating and testing Base Station modem software







Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of LTE trace/debug methods and
tools. Experience with LTE base station hardware and software. Test
automation skills. Strong communication skills for participating on
Feature teams. Strong analytic skills for diagnostics and root cause
identification Familiarity with Quality Center, Clearcase, DCT.

Experience with Python language for post processing automation. High
level knowledge of mobile networks end to end data transport and
control plane protocols.
