Title: QA Tester - Functional With JIRA

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Duration: 12 months +

Rate: $40 /hr C2C

 

Top Required Skills:

Functional testing, JIRA, SQL, Quality Center, Retail Industry Experience (Big plus)

 

Job Duties:

 

• Work within various test methodologies such as agile and/or waterfall
• Participate in Requirement & Design Doc review session; evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality testability standpoint
• Create detailed test cases for full requirement coverage/traceability
• Execute Test Cases to validation correct functionality of application
• Use SQL for back-end testing
• Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality
• Coordinate Test Case Reviews with stakeholders are being held as appropriate.
• Perform various types of testing including white box, black box, integration, back-end DB validation, system testing as needed
• Adhere to requirement review, defect writing & test case writing guidelines
• Keep Lead Tester informed of current state of quality and test progress
• Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with project team.
• Identify obstacles and roadblocks; and offer suggestions to work around obstacles

 

Desired experience: 

 

• HP Quality Center for test case development and test execution
• JIRA for defects management and tracking
• SQL Backend testing
• General experience creating SQL queries
