ORACLE DBA

Charleston, WV

12 months +

$45-50/hr  MAX

 

•The database administrator must have at least five (5) years' experience maintaining and managing Oracle database systems.

•The database administrator must have at a minimum a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university. Vendor should provide documentation to support this requirement.

•The database administrator must have five (5) years' experience in optimizing SQL execution for Oracle SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. Vendor should provide documentation to support this requirement.

•The database administrator must have five (5) years' of experience writing and maintaining UNIX/LINUX shell scripts in HP UNIX and/or RedHat Linux environment. Vendor should provide documentation to support this requirement.

•The database administrator must have five (5) years' of experience in Data Modeling.

•The database administrator must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience with the utilization and administration of Oracle Warehouse Builder and Oracle Forms and Reports.

•The database administrator must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in utilization of Oracle backup to include full and incremental backups and cloning a database.

•The database administrator must have at least one (1) year of experience in the support and administration of a JAVA platform on Oracle SOA Suite.

•The database administrator must have two (2) years' experience in fine grain access control in an Oracle database

•The database administrator must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience with a large scale enterprise level application

•The database administrator must have and pass a background criminal record check and fingerprint check prior to starting the contract. Also, an annual training course from the IRS on safeguarding taxpayer information must be viewed before any work is performed.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

•Must be able to install and upgrade the Oracle server and application tools.

•Must be able to allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system.

•Must be able to create primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application.

•Must be able to create primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application.

•Must be able to modify the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers.

•Must be able to enroll users and maintain system security

•Must be able to control and monitor user access to the database.

•Must be able to plan for backup and recovery of database information

•Must train other database administrators or programmers when necessary

•Must be able to backup and restore the database.

•Must perform routine daily troubleshooting of killing locked sessions and increasing space when necessary.

•Must be able to re-index the database when necessary.

•Must be familiar and able to use the Oracle database on HPUX 11.31

•Must be familiar with and able to effectively work in Oracle version 10g Enterprise, Release 10.2.0.4.0 – 64 bit.
