Role: Firmware engineer
Location: Arlington heights, Chicago, IL
Duration: 12+ Months
Technical/Functional Skills
· 6-8 years of embedded firmware development experience with Masters / Bachelors in Electronics and communication from accredited University of India or elsewhere
· Proficiency in real time operating system concepts under Linux /RT Linux environment.
· Knowledge of development lifecycles, engage in a formal development lifecycle from requirements capture, implementation, test and product support through to deployment.
· Well-Versed at Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from designing to implementation in C/C++, Perl, SQL and Shell Scripting in Unix/Linux Environment.
· Expert in various flavors of UNIX and extensive experience in UNIX Shell Scripting, SED, GREP, MAKE utilities
· Expert in performing module/unit testing, integration testing and system testing for all programs before they are deployed
· Expert in implementing version control systems: SVN,GIT, Rational Clearcase
· Have worked in domains like Telecom
· Strengths include strong customer interface and problem-solving skills, requirement analysis, designing, programming and motivation skills, Excellent in client handling and ensuring full client satisfaction by understanding and meeting client expectations.
· Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
· Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle(including tools, compilers and debuggers)
· Familiar with test equipments including oscilloscope, logic analyzers, JTAG emulator.
