has an immediate opening for a Sr. Cisco Network Engineer (CCNP or CCIE Level). Your skills are needed to assist a leader in the supply chain technology (Zebra Technologies). In this position you will function as a Sr. Network Engineer and will join a distributed team headed out of their corporate offices in Vernon Hills, IL. You will provide hands-on Network Consulting Services in support of 3 initiatives that will tripple the size of their network environment over the next 10-12 months.
Projects: Motorola Merger and Acquisition activities; New facility build-out; DC Planning and build-out
Activities will include:
- Providing support and escalation services for network related mission critical systems.
- Maintaining network infrastructure hardware including ongoing software/firmware patches and upgrades.
- Monitoring network health monitoring and notification tools.
- Supporting network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls.
- Participating in administering, monitoring, tuning and supporting the LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in Cisco Router and Switches 3900/2900/7200, Cisco VPN, Cisco ASA Firewalls/Security, Cisco Wireless
- Certifications are a plus - CCIE/CCNP/CCDP preferred
- Protocol Analyzers
- WAN, LAN, MAN, MPLS, Wi-Fi, Wireless(802.11)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Leadership Skills
