Position: data Scientist
Location: Denver CO
Duration: 6+ months
Job Description
1. Understand the business objectives and requirements, have ability to convert the business case into analytical problem and then accordingly develop a solution.
2. Provide statistical design and analysis results at the planning, development and execution stage of the Dish advanced analytics projects.
3. Perform model scoring and statistical analyses using predictive modelling techniques.
4. Develop analytical strategies for business using model results of predictive modelling, time series forecasting, clustering and segmentation of customers
5. Document and present work to the client. Proactively recommending and influencing changes in business decision-making.
6. Co-ordinate with offshore team on day-to-day basis.
Skills/Experience Required
1. A desirable candidate should have 6/7 years of relevant experience in the field of predictive modelling preferably customer analytics.
2. A strong quantitative background, excellent communication skills (written, verbal) and excellent presentation skills are necessary.
3. Should have hands-on experience in handling large datasets and should be familiar with models using—linear regression, logistic regression, ANOVA/ANCOVA, optimization techniques, time series modelling, segmentation, decision tree, clustering and simulation based analysis.
4. Programming ability using R and R-Stats is must for the role
