Description

Lead Data Conversion Efforts.  In Blueprint develop the Strategy/Framework/Approach.

One area that will be critical to a successful project is data conversion. The success of the data migration process is important to the overall success of the project. As such, Consultant will focus on a comprehensive approach, looking at the entire chain of data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation.  After an evaluation of legacy systems and existing toolsets, the approach is to use standard tools wherever possible.  Pre-configured Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) routines and standard SAP programs provide the base from which to build a tailored suite of tools to support a successful data migration effort.  Time is spent early in the process to thoughtfully prepare the plan, looking towards efficiency and the opportunity for re-use.   Transformation and extraction are combined where reasonable, with an eye to making the conversion process as "no-touch" as possible, where files are extracted and loaded without intermediate manipulation.

 

Deliverables

Lead data conversion efforts for the overall solution.  This resource will coordinate developing the plan and approach for data cleansing and conversion with client resources and development resources.
