Job Description

 

PM Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
• Leads efforts to develop and analyze options to solve business problems working with business and technology partners across various divisions.
o Partners with stakeholders to recommend appropriate approaches for solving business and technology challenges and ensuring alignment with business priorities.
o Assists business and technology partners in shaping solutions through changes in strategy, organization, business processes or technology solutions using critical and strategic thinking.
o Clarifies and structures ambiguous business problems through complete understanding of issues, needs and outcomes.

• Leads the planning stage of complex projects and creation of appropriate deliverables such as work plans, scope, cost estimates, resource plans and governance structure.
o Understands and drives critical path planning and project activities.
o Establishes effective governance for programs and/or projects by ensuring accountability of key stakeholders and the project team.
o Identifies resources required to fulfill project objectives.

• Drives the successful execution of assigned projects to deliver business outcomes based on key drivers (i.e., time, budget, resources, scope).
o Puts structure and controls in place to maximize the project team's efficiency and effectiveness, as well as to mitigate risk by anticipating challenges.
o Actively manages project dependencies and cross-project dependencies, including conflicting priorities.
o Escalates issues and risks to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project.
o Manages expected benefits, costs and risks through collaboration with business and technology partners. Reports appropriate messages and level of detail in communications with stakeholders.
o Manages multiple projects concurrently.
o Monitors and reports progress using data for accuracy and completeness.

• Effectively manages project teams in a matrix environment.
o Establishes and maintains clear roles, responsibilities and deliverables for project team members.
o Assists the team to accomplish new or highly complex tasks and identify/solve critical issues.
o Monitors team morale and takes appropriate steps to motivate the team.
o Communicates effectively and provides clear direction and guidance to the team.

• Assesses organizational impacts and develops strategies to navigate through the change.
o Designs and implements change management plans such as communications, training, and marketing.
o Ensures changes are accepted, adopted and supported by the organization.
