QA / Data Analyst

1 year (with possible extension).

West Palm Beach, FL.

 

MUST HAVE
1. Strong SQL/Database, Report or Back-End process testing experience
2. Advance MS Excel/MS Access experience
3. Strong VBA/VBScript/JavaScript Programming experience

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience working in Quality Assurance (7+ years);

• Experience with Core QA Testing;

• Experience with scripting VBA, SQL;

• Experience with SQL in MS Access, and MS Excel;

• Experience with testing reports;

• Experience with software testing;

• BA/BS in Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent;

• Experience in energy industry / trading, banking or risk applications (preferred).

 

DESCRIPTION:

• Plan and direct the installation of Information Technology projects which typically involve and impact multiple business areas;

• Facilitate the development of an SQA framework of agreed upon software development standards and procedures to be followed throughout the SDLC;

• Ensure that test cases exist and are executed for issues and functionalities to be promoted to production;

• Backend database testing in Oracle Database environment;

• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables;

• Hold and facilitate test plan / case reviews with cross-functional team members;

• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results;

• Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts;

• Perform data conversions (ETL) from several data sources, develop necessary SQL for loading, updating and maintaining data tables.
