Position: Mainframe Tester

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Richmond; VA

Rate: ALAP

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

2 to 3 years of Good Experience in Mainframe Testing

Mainframe: DB2 Database; COBOL; CICS Screens

Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field and 7 plus years experience providing QA support for a large firm(s) on Mainframe.

Demonstrated understanding of programming concepts in a mainframe environment including DB2 database, COBOL, and CICS screens

Strong understanding of the role of quality assurance in the Software Development Lifecycle and knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies 

Experience developing or testing in a web-based application environment. Familiarity with web technology and environments, including HTML, XML, JAVA.

Strong communication skills which demonstrate ability to effectively convey and explain information and tactfully deal with diverse people, situations and ideas.

Strong analytical skills as demonstrated by the ability to draw conclusions in a logical, systematic way.

Self motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision and able to work well with stakeholders and project staff.

Ability to prioritize and multi task across numerous work streams.

Ability to collaborate with team, and promote the exchange of information among technical collaborators and clients.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools
