Position: Network engineer
Location: Mason, OH
Duration: 6 Months
As the Network/Systems Engineer, you will provide leadership, high-level strategy and technology recommendations to the business while leading a team of junior to mid-level engineers. In addition, you will have the opportunity to be hands-on in the weeds with the technologies in a unique, rapidly-changing and challenging environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead a team of junior and mid-level Network Engineers
· Make recommendations for long-term and short-term solutions and strategy for the enterprise
· Provide technical expertise and project management for network and systems technologies and initiatives
· Act as a liaison to the business in regards to network and systems engineering
· Assist in troubleshooting and the resolution of support issues
· Create prototypes and lead the team development and testing through to production
· Design and develop SLAs and ensure that they are met throughout the enterprise
· Design and develop metrics to measure client satisfaction and capacity planning
· Evaluate and assess new technologies for the viability of their introduction into the environment
· Accurately define and evaluate dependencies, production readiness and transition acceptance during new system implementations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
· 8-10 years of experience in the IT industry
· 3-5 years of experience in data networking technologies
· 3-5 years with Cisco routers and switches
· Advanced network troubleshooting experience
· VPN
· SSL/Cisco
· Dynamic Load Balancing
· Network Security - Cisco – ASA/ACS/NAC
· QoS Implementations
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
· CCDP
· CCNP
· CCIE
