Project Manager with Travel Domain experience
Rate- competitive
Duration – long term (in increments of 6 months)
Good experience in Travel Domain, Anyone who has worked with American Express in the past will be a plus.
JD of a PM role which we recently opened up. Core areas of emphasis would be minimum 5 years of PM experience within the Travel domain with strong GDS knowledge and having worked with International stakeholders. Ideally would be located in remotely in Phoenix or Midwest with some travel expected to the client sites. Length is 6 months to start with extensions in 6 months increments after, projected long term.
Project Manager – Travel & Hospitality
Responsibilities:
•Analysis and documentation of existing mid and back office processes across local markets.
•Assessment and implementation of system improvements to standardize and streamline travel operations, against tight timelines and to budgetary constraints.
•This role will have responsibility to review mid and back office processes across the globe for consistency and improvement, and drive reengineering projects as appropriate to improve operations.
•The manager will be in close communications with all local markets to ensure process continuity, controls, and appropriate documentation exist in each region and drive accountability in each market.
•This role has a direct working relationship with teams and strategic partners across the Americas, Europe, JAPA, and India.
•Responsible for driving superior performance specifically with respect to:
1.Executing on deadlines and project timelines
2.Project management that creates a culture of compliance, adherence to regulatory environments in multiple countries
3.Building sustainable process improvements along with effective metrics to measure progress
Qualifications
•Minimum five years of Project Management experience required with travel operations experience
•Knowledge of international market requirements for travel documentation – specifically invoicing and taxation requirements.
•Strong project, prioritization and time management skills.
•Experience working with GDS and 3rd party vendors.
•Strong people leadership with demonstrated ability to lead a high performing virtually-based team.
•Strong presentation skills, ability to persuasively communicate to all levels.
•Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
•Proven record of driving results.
•Demonstrated analytical skills.
•Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to assess downstream impacts to changes.
•Outstanding relationship management skills and ability to influence multiple constituencies at all levels.
Preferred:
•Bachelor's Degree.
