Main points Required:-
· Turn up/configure T1/EoC circuits etc on Cisco routers very skilled level
· Understand and configure Cisco switches very skilled level
· Understand and configure iPsec/Gre tunnels very skilled level
· Understand and configure ACL's, NAT very skilled level
· Understand and configure ASA 55XX series skilled (good to have but not required)
· Understands and can configure subnetting very skilled level
Cisco Engineer
Schaumburg, IL
6 months
Responsibilities: to get a lot of properties switched over/turned up on new circuits. They are the largest in our industry and they just bought the #2 company. They are in the beginning stages of converting over many properties and need someone to come help us get this work done. They are looking for someone with Cisco experience to come in and hit the ground running with our team and help us get this work done.
For this temporary position they are not looking for a Senior Cisco person at all. They would take someone with 1- 3 years of experience and of course They want them to be good.
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
Ø Bachelor's Degree Information Technology (or equivalent educational focus)
Ø Desired certifications include but not limited to: CCNA, CCNA Voice, CCDA, CCMA, CCMP or equivalent experience
Ø 2+ years of experience demonstrating expertise on Cisco Remote Access, Cisco Multilayer Switching, Cisco IOS Security, Juniper Firewalls, Cisco VPN Concentrators, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco Wireless LAN Controller equipment along with theories and concepts
Ø Intermediate experience in designing, supporting, and administering routers, switches, firewalls and concentrators including ability to troubleshoot complex topologies.
Ø Familiarity with IPSEC and Cisco IOS IPSEC High Availability
Ø Intermediate experience in supporting and maintaining multiple networking equipment distributed globally.
Ø Intermediate experience with Cisco and routing experience required; especially in a global de-centralized environment.
Ø Ability to determine impact of architectural solutions and recommendation
Ø Demonstrated ability to contribute within multiple projects, with an emphasis on deploying high-performance solutions for field and corporate facing systems
Ø Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional groups and generate results in matrix organizations. Must be able to excel in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
Ø Work experience that demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
Ø Ability to reconcile and balance business priorities with day to day operational tasks
Ø Demonstrated history of continued/continuing education
Ø Highly motivated individual with passion for learning/sharing information from/with peers
Ø Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ø Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external business users
Ø Ability to self-prioritize, negotiate, and manage requests from multiple projects
Ø Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participation in multiple projects
