Requirement Details

Location : Chicago, Illinois
Duration :  6 months +

  This role will be a Senior-level member of a small team that is responsible for implementing, configuring and supporting the full lifecycle enterprise server virtualization.  Day to day responsibilities will include the design, installation, configuration and Tier III adhoc support for VMware ESX 4.5-5.1, including all of the vCenter and vSphere tools.    Daily tasks will include:  -	Installing, configuring and providing high-level technical support for VMWare  ESX 4.x-5.1, within a Windows Server 2008 R2 enterprise-level environment.  -	Implementing and supporting Virtual Hosts, Virtual Machines and VM environments using VMWare ESX 4.0 5.1, vCenter, vSphere and CapacityIQ  -	Supporting virtualization across multiple platforms (Windows, UNIX, RHEL)  -	Working with tools such as Lumension, PatchLink or QualysGuard to monitor and secure the VM environments   -	Conducting high availability capacity management and performance analysis using Capacity IQ and /or the VCenter Operations Manager  -	Creating and managing file systems to ease in database and custom software installation  -	Setting up and administering an AD environment to ensure robust security    REQUIRED SKILLS    -	Required Associate's Degree with 7+ years IT experience  -	Expert VMWare ESX/ESXi Engineering on Versions 4.0 and higher  -	VCP 4, VCP5 Certifications preferred  -	Expert Windows Server 2008 / Active Directory experience   -	Some background with UNIX (RHEL) based platforms is preferred  -	Experience with security and monitoring programs like QualysGuard or PatchLink is preferred
