Here is the profile that we should be looking for –

    1.       Expertise in Python ( should not be confused with python web developer)

2.       Strong experience in Linux, QNX or any Linux flavor operating system

3.       Writing system programs using python/perl /java( python is must)

a. Knowledge on dealing with python modules like pyserial, paramiko, httpunit, ssh,sftp

4.       Should have developed test automation framework or contributed in framework development using python. (not web site or portal framework)

5.       Some embedded system knowledge

6.       Strong troubleshooting skills in OS and networking area

7.       Good communication

8.       More than 8 years of experience

9.       Database like mysql/sqlite is optional

10.   Some expertise in selenium and open source tools like sikuli

11.   Some testing background in enterprise applications ( platform linux and distributed environment)
