Title: Security Engineer (Symantec exp.)

Location: Moorestown, NJ
Duration: 12 months

          

Job Description:

Required Skills:

·         Good experience in Information security management of Servers and End-point systems.

·         Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) / Data Center Security (DCS)

·         Good platform administration/management experience on Windows, Unix.

·         Good Experience in Excel Formula/Macro, SQL query

·         Good Administration and management experience of Symantec critical system protection (CSP)/DCS or similar products such as Bit9, IBM RealSecure, HP-UX, SourceFire, Trippingpoint, McAfee Network Security or any relevant HIDS/HIPS tool. including:

·         Good understanding of the various use-cases involved in using these technologies such as application whitelisting, HIPS, virtual system security etc.

·         Whitelisting Policy implementation based on business cases

·         Distribution best practices for security agents

Responsibilities:

·         Understand HIPS/HIDS solutions to customize FIM, IPS, NAC policies based on Application-specific requirements

·         Availability and performance parameter monitoring for CSP server and agents

·         Support on CSP/DCS - Scheduling, Monitoring, Running jobs, prepare Reports for customer specific environment, etc.

·         Tool upkeep and management (user Administration, backup co-ordination, patch management, etc.)

·         Document known issues and solutions

·         Perform regular heath checks of tools

·         Co-ordination with vendor for problem resolution

·         Creation of necessary reports working in co-ordination with account

·         Support Rollout of additional Symantec Critical System Protection (CSP) agents to additional servers

·         Implement policy changes on Symantec CSP as directed by Client

Soft skills: 

·         Excellent written and communication skills 

·         Ability to collaborate with multiple teams

·         Good documentation and presentation skills

Minimum Experience Required: 3-5 YEARS

Mandatory Skills: McAfee HIDS-HIPS Managed Security Services - MSS, ITIL Documentation, Networking and Infrastructure

Desirable Skills: Bit9 - Carbon Black, Unix Admin
