Position: Senior Java Developer 
Location: Austin, TX 
Duration: Long term contract 
Client: State client Tx Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA)


Responsibilities:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
•    Must be able to work independently
•    Must be able to work in a diverse team environment
•    Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
•    Must be able to retain knowledge of environment and systems once given instruction
•    Knowledge of project management and software development methodologies
•    Must be able to work around projects and deadlines with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary
•    Perform related work as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
•    Experience with software analysis, design and programming
•    Experience with Java Programming
•    Experience with HTML5
•    Experience with CSS and Java Script
•    Extensive experience with highly complex security application requirements
•    Experience with WebSphere 8.5
•    Experience with STRUTS
•    Experience with Spring MVC
•    Experience with Ibatis/MyBatis
•    Experience with Responsive Design
•    Experience working on enterprise level conversion/upgrade Java projects

Preferences:
•    Experience working with enterprise software solutions
•    Experience working with enterprise software solutions in WebSphere
•    Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
•    Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Experience working with CPA's WebFile or MyCPA Systems
