seeking a Java SE Developer with our client in the technology solutions provider industry in their Charlotte, NC location. This is a 4+ month contract role- Locals candidates from  North Carolina /  Georgia will be  preferred as there will be a face to face interview

 

Description:

•             Java SE developer working with the embedded Linux solutions team

•             Candidate will have a strong background and/or desire in building high-quality and high-performance applications and services on the Linux platform

•             Will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to develop the next generation of our family of innovative products

Responsibilities:

•             The successful candidate will be a responsible, motivated, self-started who is able to

•             work alone as well as in a team environment

•             Building graphical user interfaces (GUI) for desktop and kiosk (embedded linux) based applications using Java Swing/AWT

•             Assisting in development of network services via sockets using TCP/IP & HTTP

•             Review and maintain Java code for a dynamic, event driven, graphical interface framework which is created at runtime via proprietary files

•             Review and maintain Java code for a GUI application which acts as a visual designer for the mentioned framework

Requirements:

•             3+ years of Java development experience

•             Java SE

•             Java Swing/AWT

•             Graphical user interface (GUI) programming

•             Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing business needs with a solid commitment to development excellence

•             Understanding of PHP Frameworks preferred

•             Object oriented programming (OOP)

•             Multithreaded programming

•             TCP/IP sockets

•             Linux Ubuntu OS

•             Eclipse IDE
