Position: Business Systems Analyst- E-commerce/CRM
Location: SFO – CA
Contract: 6+ Months
Job Description:
The E-commerce Business System Analyst will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the applications software development life cycle. This includes business analysis, system configuration, requirements and functional design, testing and support; all while adhering to the SDLC methodology and PCI development standards at the Customer organization. S/he will build strong working relationship with product managers, analysts within business team, IT development, and QA and Production support teams. S/he will Interfaces with key individuals representing business, operations, and technology to drive business capabilities/solutions. Shows good judgment in escalation of issues to management. Understands business process workflows and how they are supported through existing systems. Accurately analyzes critical details of business issues and opportunities to understand and helps define the key requirements necessary for proposed projects and enhancements. Communicates effectively with business users to identify and prioritize needs, articulate business impact and workarounds, and evaluate alternative business solutions. S/he will contribute to test planning and quality assurance processes, training, change management documentations as well as support post-launch stabilization efforts. Act as subject matter expert (SME) in business and technical domains with an excellent understanding of business and system processes, inter-relationship/dependencies/interactions among other system components. Identifies and communicates business needs and translates these needs into understandable requirements to IT team; S/he will contribute to test planning and quality assurance processes, training, change management documentations as well as support post-launch change management efforts. S/he will work with Application support team to Identify and isolate data issues, log support cases, communicating the progress to the business partners in the resolution process for any software related issues. In summary this role is the primary bridge between our E-commerce and CRM business teams and all IT functions.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience with E-commerce systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting business unit writing detailed requirements and use cases, system administration, data analysis and implementation support. Experience analyzing, clarifying and translating business/functional requirements. The candidate must have strong presentation skills and must be very detail oriented. This person must be a highly motivated team player and self-starter. Excellent organizational problem solving and time management skills are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable on business process and data analysis, functional design, modeling, system development processes, and software testing. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of MS Projects, MS Visio (or alternate process flow tool), MS Excel. Writing effective SQL queries to investigate and resolve data issues. Knowledge of PCI compliance is plus
