Role : Programmer
Location : Salem, OR

Duration : 9+ Months

Interview Mode: Face to Face after Telephonic

Description :

• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
• May require a bachelor's degree.
• Requires 5 years or more of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Skills/Experience :

• Support for maintenance and development for two systems that are coded in PowerBuilder.
• The current version we are using is PB 12.5. Must have recent experience with at least version 10 or above.
• These systems are production case management systems that are both on PowerBuilder 12.5 and Sybase Adaptive Server 15.5.
• The work to be completed by the contractor will include legislatively mandated or internally prioritized system modification work.
• As tasks are completed, the contractor will address the highest priority backlogged work that may address immediate field services (end user) or policy-driven needs.

The contractor will perform the following functions:

• Gather customer requirements
• Work effort sizing
• Write systems specifications (**the specifications may be handed down to other programmer/analyst staff to complete development)
• Powerbuilder 12.5 Development to existing systems
