We have an urgent requirement for a Data Modeler [PDW] Designer . This is a Contract position based in Richfield/MN

Position : Data Modeler [PDW] Designer
Location: Richfield/MN
Duration: 12 Months

***NOTE: Please send across resumes of consultant's who are on your own W2/H1 only.***

Roles and Responsibilities : 

• Application Design and Development
• Manage project development from initiation to close
• Excellent SQL-Server knowledge and performance tuning experience needed
• Be accountable for database design and develop pseudo codes based on report requirements
• Work with project stakeholders to complete outlining scope, goals, deliverables on-time
• Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed
• Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders
• Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
• Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to sponsor.
• Lead, coach and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.
• Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution
• Stay current with emerging industry trends
• Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks
• Good written and oral communication
• Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions 

Required Skills :

• Years of experience in Microsoft Parallel Data Warehouse [PDW]
• Years of experience in Data Modeling and data base design for reporting platforms
• Extensive skills in SQL -Server database
• Extensive experience Supply Chain business analysis and working experience with business users directly
• Technical team management experience including offshore team members
• Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Retail related data warehousing experience a plus
