Job Title : Sharepoint Developer / Architect
Location : Portland, OR
Duration : 6+Months Contract
The SharePoint Architect Consultant will play a central role in the complete solution lifecycle. This role will include software architecture, development, customization, and integration with Exchange and AD and the SAP Business Intelligence systems. The ideal candidate will provide leadership on best practices for architectural design, understand the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 solution stack, and have a thorough understanding of software Integration. The will lead architecture and design reviews for SharePoint projects that focus on planning, deploying, and targeting new or significant modifications of existing enterprise SharePoint implementations. They will also act as the technical designing scalable SharePoint solutions for users across the organization.
Consults with clients and other project team members to design, build and manage websites. Develops installation programs for websites.
May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures (i.e., SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript).
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff.

Proven expertise in devising SharePoint solutions that are part of a larger enterprise-wide integrated architecture.
Strong skills in establishing methodologies, protocols, and driving standards into daily practice.
Creative thinker with ability to solve challenging problems in a collaborative setting.
Ability to know when SharePoint is not the right solution for a problem and can communicate alternatives effectively.
General understanding of Information Architecture, taxonomy, and knowledge management disciplines.
Expert knowledge of software development processes and best practices integrating SharePoint 2010 and the Microsoft AD and Exchange technology stack.
Must possess a deep technical and architectural understanding of all aspects of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform solutions.
Must have hands-on experience and capabilities for developing and deploying customized SharePoint solutions.
Advanced knowledge of Collaboration, Portals, and Enterprise Search.
Knowledge in leveraging Microsoft's suite of technologies for providing Business Intelligence solutions such as Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services, PerformancePoint, and PowerPivot.
Experience configuring and working with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
Experience with server installation, deployment models, performance tuning and enterprise scalability.
Design and implement architecture using various technologies such as SharePoint Server, Windows SharePoint Services, and Windows SharePoint Foundations
