Skills Required and Job Description:

Interview Mode:: Skype Visa:: USC /GC only Specific Job responsibilities: DATA extraction/Analysis (based on business req’s) from different sources like SQL server, Oracle, DB2, Access, Flat files, Excel sheets, Mainframe and build/validate monthly datasets. Automate batch processes in UNIX using shells scripts. Daily monitoring/troubleshooting of batch production scripts in Unix. Good communication skills. Experience Required: 5-6 years of SAS Programming/Data analysis (preferably financial mortgage/banking experience) Skills (Must Have): SAS, SQL, UNIX, Excel, SAS EG, Macros Skills (Preferred): All the above skills and Mainframe experience is a plus Education Level: Bachelor’s in IT/Computer science or experience will suffice Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 – 6 years experience including solid experience with predictive modeling and credit analytics in the consumer lending space. Independently conducts projects in quantitative/analytic modeling. Develops new models, analytic processes or quantitative approaches. Calculates economic capital for assigned Line of Business or consumer lending product. May develop, calibrate and validate risk rating models for probability of default, loss given default, and exposure at default. Ensures that consistent credit risk rating methodology is established for assigned SunTrust Line of Business and products that support sound credit decisions and maintains strong asset quality. Ensure that assigned SunTrusts credit risk rating methodology is in compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements. Activities include performing ad hoc analytics, statistical analyses, data queries and modeling, and providing technical and analytical support to other groups within SunTrust. Demonstrated experience with SAS, SAS-ETS, SQL or equivalent sophisticated statistical tools and Excel for analysis, statistical modeling and reporting.
