Technical Skills:• Structured query language (SQL) for querying data, performing data 'joins'• Familiar with databases and data warehousing technologies (Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop [Hive, Accumulo])• Familiar with databases and data warehousing concepts (table joins, Type-2/SCD/journaling, foreign keys) The typical givens would also apply: analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills, etc. The gist is that we're looking for someone who understands the technical solution, really understands the "data" and can dig into NDW/MELD (Teradata/Hadoop), and can help to ensure that technical solutions are meeting business needs.Thanks, Works with the business to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.• Identifies solution interdependencies and data requirements in partnership with architects and developers• Research data-related questions by querying data (SQL and SQL derivatives) in enterprise data warehouse and "data lake" to determine if data meets needs, answer business questions, validate data quality, and understand relationships• Participates in design reviews and walk-throughs to validate proposed solutions"

 

Education/Professional Background:• Domain experience in the following business areas highly preferred: Billing Systems, Sales Promotions/Campaign Management, Customer Relationship Management• Domain experience in the following areas IT areas preferred: Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Databases/Data Warehouses, Web Services• Comcast-specific experience: rate codes, product familiarity, promotional offerings, NDW, MELD, Datacast Domain experience in the following areas IT areas preferred: Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Databases/Data Warehouses, Web Services
