Location : Washington, DC
Duration : 12 + Months
Rate : $60/Hr

We are looking for an 10 years experienced Senior Cognos
Developer with experience in Healthcare Payer industry.
Requirements
This position will work with Developers and Product Managers and Technical Lead to develop, maintain, and execute Cognos reports and Framework Manager artifacts.
Strong problem analysis skills is required
Strong & working experience of SQL programming and performance tuning skills.
Strong & working experience of Cognos Report Studio, Transformer, Powerplay, Event Studio and Metric Studio.
Strong & working experience of Cognos Frame work manager.
Strong & working experience of Cognos SDK.
Strong & working experience of Stored Procedure using DB2. Knowledge of writing complicated yet efficient SQL for relational database is essential
Strong in Datamart / Data warehousing design (ODS, EDW, DM, ROLAP, MOLAP, cubes, slowly changing dimensions, incremental updates, dimensional frameworks, powercubes, fact, grains) and
development experience is essential.
Strong & working experience with reporting and analytics development on multiple full lifecycle Data Warehouse implementations
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are required.
Healthcare experience and related business knowledge is preferred.
Primary responsibilities include:
Work with mid-level and junior level Cognos developers
Participate in creating Detail Cognos technical documents based on Cognos Architecture and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)/ System Use Cases(SUC)
Implement reports and model based on Detail technical design documents and Architecture.
Design and Development in various Cognos versions using and modules
Design layout of reports and determine the best way to present data to end users.
Create Cognos model using Framework Manager and produce Cognos packages.
Write DB2 Stored procedures and Cognos SDK that are referenced within the reports.
Participate in code reviews and use Clear Case to ensure weekly builds occur.
Use clear quest to complete assigned task
Participate and assist in development of deployment and release documents
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment.
Minimum 8 years of Cognos Developer & Architecture work experience in large, complex data warehouse involving multiple facets of a business system, performing system development, debugging, unit
testing and implementation.
