Technology Architects are responsible for delivering business value to customers by architecting effective information systems solutions that address the customer's business problems, needs and opportunities, in a manner consistent with HP's strategic and business goals. These individuals have knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and tools and understand how to apply this knowledge to successfully deliver customer projects. They establish and maintain a professional working relationship at multiple levels, both internally and with the customer, by understanding the customer's business context and their unique situation. They collaborate with both internal and external or industry experts to anticipate customer needs in order to facilitate the definition and development of the solution. Technology Architects are strong supporters of the professional development framework for their profession and use the knowledge and best practice derived from their professional associations to the benefit of their customers. They collaborate with Project Managers to ensure effective and efficient development, delivery, deployment, operation and support of these Information System (IS) solutions. They also collaborate with the account team to meet or exceed revenue, product, customer satisfaction and market share goals for the account.

•Architects custom solutions of project and program or operational scope
•Architects reusable solutions of project or operational scope
•Customizes reusable solutions of project and program or operational scope
•Captures and shares architectural intellectual property at the project and program level
•Oversees the implementation and governance of architectures of project and program or operational scope
•Contributes to the Architect profession worldwide and across HP businesses
•Assesses business impact of specific technologies/strategies
•Identifies and addresses technical or operational risks
•Reviews and provides input on project activities for medium to large business unit level projects
•Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures for medium to large business unit level projects
•Develops and delivers sales presentations at CEO/Executive Staff/CIO levels for medium to large opportunities
•Accountable for implementation and consistent application of HP standard tools, processes and standards
•Collaborates with the Account Chief Architect/Technologist to determine the appropriate technology strategy for the project and program or operational scope
•Provides technical direction and support
•Creates the High Level Solution Design (HLSD) for large projects under his or her control
•Assists the Technical Leader in the creation of the HLSD for medium and small projects
•Owns and participates in the Technical Review process for all projects and programs under his or her control.
•Participates in technical reviews for other programs and projects as requested
•Ensures the tool landscape is implemented according to schedule
•Enforces compliance to all published Notice of Architectural Decisions (NoADs) and Best Practices
•Promotes understanding among project team members of design and coding standards and ensures compliance with those standards
•Reviews and ensures the quality of architectural deliverables
•Ensures every new project under his or her control is technically feasible
•Ensures support and utilization of AD Quality Policy and EDGE as required by AD management
•Approves technical direction for projects
•Leads technical solutioning sessions for programs and projects under his or her control
•Enables work product review (WPR) process for all projects and deliverables
•Reviews and approves root cause analysis for severity 1 and severity 2 application outages and is accountable for implementation of permanent corrective action
•Serves as the escalation point for resolution of technical issues not resolvable by a project Technical Leader (TL)
•Provides advice and coaching on the implementation of specific technical solutions to the TL
•Coaches, mentors and instructs
