Title: Sr. Business Analyst with oil/gas experience
Duration: 6 - 12 month Contract
Location: Houston, Texas 77032 (Need Locals who Can go for Face to Face)
Implementation Partner / Client: Apex Systems/ Halliburton - Houston
Required skills: Visio, Agile Product Lifecycle Management, Must be local to Houston, oil/gas experience required
Job description:
• Showcases leadership while eliciting requirements by conducting requirements workshops, As-Is and To -Be work flow analysis , surveys, use cases and scenarios
• Must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into unambiguous business requirements
• Proactively communicates and collaborates with project team members to analyze business needs and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Traceability Matrix)
• Leadership capability to ensure facilitating sign off from stake holder, project sponsors and users along with perseverance to ensure Technical Leads understand the business requirements through BRD reviews
• Works seamlessly with Functional analysts to provide guidance on the business requirements
• Engages with Test Lead to review test plans, test scenarios and provide feedback
• Works with user community to facilitate User Acceptance Testing
• Works closely with Organizational Change Management team member to help create training plans
• Successfully engages in multiple projects simultaneously
• Works independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Serves as the conduit between the business units, technology teams and support teams
• Must demonstrate experience in in strategic planning and project management
• Expertise in Requirements Management tool, Prototyping tools and Quality Center a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 3 to 5 years of Business Analysis experience, 4 years of experience in IT environment, added plus if possesses 2 years of experience in project management
