Job Description:
Our client is an international information technology and solutions consulting company. The company is committed to ensuring safety and security of the United States through the delivery of innovative, next-generation IT solutions. They are currently seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join their dedicated team.
Candidate must be able to attain and maintain a Public Trust 85P Approval.
What You'll Do:
Participate in Agile Ceremonies
Mentor individuals and Agile teams that are new to Agile practices
Interact with Agency executives
Enhance the SSA Agile life cycle
Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches
Interact with Agency Subject Matter Experts
Foster collaboration across teams
Utilize Agile planning tools
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 9 years of software delivery experience, with at least 4 years delivering projects using Agile development approaches
Minimum 2 years of Product Management experience
Minimum 3 years of Scrum Master experience in federal setting
Extensive experience with individual and team coaching, organizational development, cultural change and conflict management
Must be an analytical thinker and be able to communicate with outstanding facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Must possess proven skills in leading Agile teams through an entire project life cycle
Must be a self-starter, adept at working in a team environment and possess strong communication and technical writing skills
Must be able to translate complex project management issues into helpful guidance for the client's software development and project management
Expertise in written, listening, note taking and verbal communication skills, including being able to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
Strong organizational skills
Must be comfortable switching activities on a day-to-day basis
Significant experience successfully facilitating agile ceremonies involving the customer and product owner
Experience assisting teams in setting up development environments that enable test-driven development, automated builds and automated acceptance testing
Experience with one or more of the following: JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Chef, Puppet
Strong creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Experience providing high level overviews for executives and staff level/group overviews on Life Cycle Support Tools
Experience with at least one medium to large Scaled Agile program (4 or more teams; 40+ development personnel) in a Coaching or Management Capacity
Familiarity with current Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, DSDM, LeSS)
Agile certification, (i.e., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) )
Agile Scrum Master or Coaching experience in a government environment
Experience with teams transitioning from Waterfall to Agile
Extensive experience with individual and team coaching, organizational development, cultural change and conflict management
Demonstrated experience (minimum of two separate engagements) using multiple agile concepts and methodologies including: Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Testing and Integration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with staff as well as executive management
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Certified Scrum Coach (CSC)
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner Position
Preferred Skills:
Agile Coaching experience
Demonstrated experience (minimum of two separate engagements) using multiple agile concepts and methodologies including: Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Testing and Integration
Experience creating Agile training materials (e.g., Agile Introduction, ScrumMaster, Product Owner, or Understanding User Stories)
Experience delivering Agile training sessions to various audiences (i.e., technical, non-technical, management, or executives)
Experience using VersionOne
Experience interacting with senior level management and clients
Demonstrated experience with meeting facilitation and negotiation
Experience in life cycle management processes and artifacts
