Job Description:

·         Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements.

·         Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.

·         Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty

·         3 - 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

·         Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

·         A degree of creativity and latitude is required.

·         Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

 

Notes with the Manager

·         backfill for a former contractor

·         developing a new ingest process for data going in and out of oracle rack

·         skills to look for – strong java dev with threading experience. Develop code on top of a Linux platform

·         shell/pearl scripting skills are really nice to have

·         3-5 years Java Dev experience

·         Local candidates only

·         straight to in person interview

·         will focus on server applications

 

 

Top Skills

·         Java, HTML, CSS, with scripting – they use bash and shell scripting mostly but any scripting experience should be suffice.
