Title: System Development Consultant
Position: 6 Months Project
Location: Irvine , CA
Job Description:
The systems development consultant shall perform the following activities:
• Meetings
o Attend meetings between technical teams, partners/vendors, and Client (Automotive) business units for new initiatives, systems enhancements and proof of concepts.
o Author and distribute meeting minutes/meeting summaries and action items list to meeting attendees and maintain meeting minutes archive on SharePoint.
o Create and maintain individual and overall project status reports on a weekly and monthly basis for new initiatives, systems enhancements and/or proof of concepts.
o Ensure systems development tasks are integrated across Client vendors for consolidated project and program delivery.
• Documentation
o Author technical documentation and diagrams for new initiatives, projects and/or proof of concept.
o Provide technical support during ideation/proof of concept and support Business Requirement documentation creation. Maintain all Connected Car systems documentation in a repository on department SharePoint.
• Development/Delivery
o Lead the development and delivery of new initiatives, systems enhancements & proof of concepts relating to Connected Vehicle systems by working with identified IT vendors/partners and business stakeholders
o Be the main point of contact for Client's Connected Car Systems development activities and work with Client program and planning teams for technical inquiries and/or technical feasibility assessment
o Author Product Change Request (PCR) documents for new initiatives, system enhancements and/or proof of concepts if needed
• Testing
o Lead and conduct systems development validation on new initiatives, system enhancements, and/or proof of concepts.
o Create, update and maintain test plans and validation reports and execute test cases for each new initiative, system enhancements and/or proof of concept. Continuously update and conduct cross functional reviews with stakeholders.
o Provide validation report and drive development issues to closure.
Qualifications Required:
o Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field of study
o 4+ years experience in the development or validation of embedded systems in the automotive or consumer electronics industries, or similar experience.
o Previous Automotive OEM or Tier1 supplier work experience
o Experience with embedded systems, connected car, and automotive solutions
o Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications
o Experience with Cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MS Azure is a plus
o Knowledge of distributed IT architectures, cloud solutions
