Job Title    :          Hadoop Developer

Location    :         PLANO, TX

Duration   :          6 + Months

Rate            :         $35/HR

 

OPT will also work, if H1-B not coming on rate

 

Required Skills and Experience:

Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/Science/Math

5+ years of IT experience

Production Support Experience

Technical and functional knowledge of Hadoop Ecosystem

SQL Knowledge (Impala/HiveQL/Teradata)

Experience in MapReduce, Sqoop, Flume and Kafka

Excellent problem solving skills

Ability to effectively manage in a cross-matrix environment with Global resources

Must be able to provide on call after hours support

Strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques – written and verbal.

Ability to monitor and effectively manage job production problems and drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency

Tools: MS Office, Visio

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies in Big Data

Cloudera Hadoop experience/Certification

Linux shell scripting

Java experience

CA7 and/or Autosys scheduling knowledge.
