MOI : Telephnic followed by Face 2 Face/Skype ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • System Optimization • Configuring and maintaining Avatar system settings, and managing all technical aspects of the Avatar system to ensure smooth operation and full functionality of the hardware and software environment. • Administering user roles and accounts, and ensuring adherence to security and privacy best practice in compliance with BHD policy. • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all system settings, user accounts, and other technical aspects of the Avatar system. • Develops and maintains policies and procedures that safeguard the Agency's Avatar investment and protect the security and privacy of client information. • Plans, schedules, tests and communicates product updates to ensure that all environments are consistently up-to-date. • Works closely with clinical leadership and business analysts to ensure that Avatar is meeting clinical needs as effectively and efficiently as possible. • Support oversight • Coordinating with the vendor's support team to ensure productive relationships and monitor all aspects of the hosted environment. • Working closely with IMSD to ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of the hardware environment and operating systems that support Avatar (local hardware, network and internet connectivity, Windows, Java). • Supervising and training others on the team who may assist with these functions as needed. • Verifying that contracted support and other vendors deliver on any Scope of Work relating to the medical record • Assisting with modeling and report writing as needed. COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS Functional Knowledge • Experience administering an Electronic Medical Record system • Hardware and software characteristics of enterprise software systems with a general understanding of system features and their integration capabilities to a centralized database • Business process mapping, analysis, and design, and the ability to manage processes in both proprietary systems (EMR) and standard Microsoft tools (Sharepoint, Infopath, Excel, etc.) • Data processing methods and procedures; Ability to solve basic hardware and software problems • Business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management and preferably an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in the behavioral healthcare field. Skills • Possess excellent presentation skills along with the ability to communicate information to a broad audience by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person • Excellent writing and data interpretation skills appropriate to the needs of the audience • Self-starter and able to work independently Strong critical thinking skills necessary as well as attentiveness to detail; strong organizational skills • Interpersonal relationship building • Able to be a team player that motivates and educates other team members • Translate technical language to lay audiences • Able to relate to all levels of staff • General facilitation skills including rigorous note-taking and the ability to drive large groups to concrete decisions TIME ALLOCATIONS • Manage, Administer & Maintain Avatar 50% • Report Development 30% • Support 15% • Other 5% Qualification & Rating Must Have Database Administration experience * Working knowledge of SQL Server T-SQL * Crystal Reports * EMR System Administration * Nice to Have Knowledge of Behavioral Health Field Terminology Electonic Medical Records (Avatar) * Working Knowledge of Cashe Database * Advanced Avatar Experience *
