Requisition Details:
Purpose: To further define scope and objectives, business and solution requirements for the automation of pipeline schedules and custody tickets into the Phillips global instance of Right Angle.
Deliverables: Documented collection of business and stakeholder requirements information intended to clearly identify what goals, objectives, and business stakeholder needs. Scoping statements that identify the boundaries of the work required to address the problem or opportunity being addressed. Technical architecture and solution alternatives and recommendations. Estimates of business benefits, project plans and costs related to project execution.
Job Description: The Functional Analyst on the Pipeline Schedule and Ticket Automation project will work with the business analyst and solution integrator to define functional requirements for the new pipeline automation process. They will also help identify any gaps, offer up potential solutions and ensure that recommendations are aligned with RightAngle production support.
This position will be required to have an understanding of the functionality, configuration and architecture for the RightAngle environment; which includes vendor software as well as specific configuration, processes, interfaces, and add-on applications.
Role: IT Functional Analyst
Accountabilities:
• Accountable for defining and documenting gaps between business and data requirements and those related system functions according to the project scope outlined in the business case.
Responsibilities:
• Determination and documentation of functional requirements resulting from business requirements and securing business approval
• Prioritization of functional requirements and issues while gaining alignment with business subject matter experts
• Designing and developing master data integration specifications for both transactional and non-transactional data sources
• Ensuring that transactional and master data requirements associated with the project's deliverables are defined and understood with data owners
• Determination and documentation of gaps between existing and desired data quality and characteristics
• Development of transactional and master data scenarios and determining appropriate data testing strategy
Required experience:
• Bachelors Degree required in IT or related business discipline
• 3 years of supporting and operating OpenLink RightAngle as a functional analyst
• SQL server development experience and/or SQL scripting experience
• Transactional data exchange and processing
• Hands-on role working with large transactional data sets
• Designing and developing IT solutions in a project environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred experience:
• OpenLink Right Angle scheduling and actualization functions
• Experience with OpenLink RightAngle AutoMatcher
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, ASP.Net, C#, and/or PowerBuilder
• Oil industry PIDX standards
