The Software Engineer, Cloud and Enterprise Engineering, is a motivated software engineer with experience in developing robust software products based on cloud and enterprise engineering using C# .net technologies.
An ideal candidate will also have experience with big data operational environments, such as Hadoop, and knowledge of HDFS, Hive, and the associated Hadoop stack offerings. The Software Engineer should be proficient in working with C# or Java but should also be comfortable working with the command line of a multiple-node Hadoop cluster. Experience with maintaining well documented code, developing software requirements and maintaining large repositories / of code are required to fill the demands of this role.
When confronted with a large amount of structured and unstructured data, the primary focus of the Software Engineer is to derive meaning from it, despite the challenges of volume and the nature of the various sources.
The Software Engineer will work closely with other staff members in the Data Analytics, Cloud and Enterprise Engineering Team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, Architect and Build Data Warehouse
- Ability to manipulate, transform and summarize data i.e. extract, analyze, cleanse, and process data from many sources, from multiple angles, to reveal useful patterns, trends, and associations.
· Coordinate development activities with Engineering team, research, and selected external companies.
· Create modular, well-organized and properly documented code and produce accurate documentation to communicate information in a manner that is understandable and actionable by business partners.
