Overview:
4+ years of Linux system administration experience required
• 3+ years of DevOps-related experience required
• Experience in AWS operation and administration preferred
• Background in large-scale software development preferably, web application development
The tasks, duties and responsibilities of the position which are most important to getting the job done.
• Work as a member of a IFE AWS Pilot (Thales Cloud) team supporting system software and web development
• Administer, support a heterogeneous environment of internal and external-facing client/server infrastructures
• Build and maintain a CI/CD pipeline in support of multiple fast-faced software development teams
• Deploy existing CI/CD from current cloud to another cloud environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to 'think ahead' and analytical mind to resolve analyze technical challenges
• Hands-on experience working in a Linux, Java, and web development/ multi-tier client server applicationa
• Knowledge and experience in latest DevOps practices: CI/CD, configuration-as-code, VM/container, IaaS/PaaS
• Strong system admin scripting skills in either Bash, Python, Go, Puppet, or Ansible
• Intimate knowledge of network and system administration toolkits
• Excellent software and system troubleshooting skills
