POSITION:

 

Position Role                    : C++,  Domain: Video, Embedded software

Assignment Location      : Irving, Tx

Project Duration              : Long Term Contract

 

REQUIREMENT:

 

We are looking for a C++ developer responsible for building applications that will run on Set top Box (STB). Developers primary responsibility will be to design and develop applications that run on STB  and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Ensure the applications developed adhere to pre defined performance standards

Skills

• Prior experience in STB, C/C++ and Video domain is mandatory
• Good knowledge of shell scripting is required
• Possess working knowledge of  IPC communication, Multi threading  and C++ specific notions
• Strong proficiency in C++, with fair knowledge of the language specification
• Thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithms
• Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage collected environments
• Familiarity with embedded systems design, low-level hardware interactions 
• Knowledge of low-level threading primitives and real-time environments 
• Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}
• Familiarity with continuous integration
