Location: San Ramon, CA

12+ months

 

Must Haves:

Front End: Grunt/Gulp

Backend: Maven/Gradle

CI/CD

Container : Docker/Cloud Foundry/Heroku

Delivery Deployment

Tool Stack: Jenkins Pipeline

Strong repository source control & Artifacts storage, switch control mechanism

AWS, NoSQL is a plus

Python / Shell / Bash / Ruby Scripting

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Designs software solutions to take advantage of opportunities and new technologies, acting as a partner to and a team member of the Engineering and Operations teams

Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management

Responsible for implementing strategies for continuous delivery of custom software on the cloud

Act as a technologist resource, to guide development teams through tough spots in migrations to the cloud

Work with geographically distributed scrum teams, working on different releases of the product

Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring, and Testing

Techniques

Able to deliver commercial products on-premises and in an IAAS/ PAAS /SAAS environment

Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with 3 years of

Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)

Experience with Front End Automation tools Grunt/Gulp

Experience with Back End Automation tools Maven/Gradle

Experience with containers such as Docker, Cloud Foundry or Heroku

Delivery Deployment experience

Experience with Jenkins Pipeline

Strong repository source control and Artifacts storage

Scripting experience with Python, Shell, Bash, or Ruby Scripting

Experience with AWS and NoSQL a plus
