Job Title:                         Senior SQL Server DBA

Location:                         Crofton MD

Duration:                         12+ Months/Contract

Interview: Phone and Skype

Requirements:

·       Minimum 12+ years of experience in Database Architecture, Administration, System Analysis, Design, Development and Support of MS SQL Server in server environments.

·       Experience with SQL Server 2016/2014/2012/2008 R2 / 2008 / 2005

·       Minimum 8 years of experience using SQL Server Profiler.

·       Minimum 8 years of experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

·       Minimum 8 years of experience supporting a Data Warehouse environment.

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

 

Beneficial Skills:

·       Experience with NoSQL Databases, especially Mongo and Greenplum

·       Experience with Hadoop

·       Experience with MicroStrategy or other Reporting tools

·       Experience with T-SQL

·       Business Objects, Crystal Reports

 

Responsibilities (Not limited to those listed below):

·       Database Design

·       Performance tuning \ profiling.

·       Perform code reviews.

·       Create stored procedures and SSIS packages to support project requests.

·       Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).

·       Evaluates Performance of SQL Server Databases and make recommendations for improvements / upgrades.

·       Setup and maintain documentation and standards.

·       Participate in 24x7 on-call responsibilities and off-hours maintenance windows to accomplish upgrades, problem resolution or other maintenance window activities.

·       Participate in disaster recovery and audit activities.

·       Support development, test, and production SQL server databases.

·       Install, manage, administer and configure SQL server databases and services.

·       Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
