Role: Data Architect

Location: Englewood, CO

JD:

Main Duties:
Develops and promotes Data models for the enterprise Data Warehouse  and business intelligence systems
Implements governance processes around metaData to ensure system-wide accuracy and consistency
Ties business processes to the enterprise Data model
Designs the logical model and successfully transforms it into the physical model
Works with physical Datamodeler to develop a physical Data model based on the logical design and incorporates performance considerations into physical Data model
Documents all aspects of the Data model according to Data management standards and principles
Works with business units with various levels of expertise
Works in conjunction with other IT groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security and integration requirements 
and translates these requirements into the functional system

Requirements:  
Demonstrates knowledge and experience of data modeling tools
Demonstrates the ability to lead effective facilitated design sessions with business customers and business analysts in order to derive data requirements and data design information
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of departmental and product line business processes and workflows
Demonstrates an appropriate level of technical expertise
Demonstrates the ability to investigate new technology developments in the field of data modeling
Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
Demonstrates the ability to work independently

10+ years experience working in an Information Technology environment with at least 5 of those years working in the area of EDW/ODS
Experience Teradata and/or other relational database required.

Experience with very large databases and knowledge of media domain preferred. 
Experience with Erwin and/or Embarcadero data modeling tools is desired
