URGENT New Position – Business Data Analyst

 

Position	Business Data Analyst – ONLY GC/ CITIZENS
Location	NYC
Job Type	6 Months
Start Date	Immediate & URGENT
Job Description	Summary: Looking for professionals having hand-on experience in Data analysis and Data profiling using SQL and converting business requirements to data requirements/specifications.   Details:   1.       Understanding of Relational Database concepts and hands-on experience in writing complex and advanced SQL queries. (basic knowledge of PL/SQL is also required) 2.       Assist Information Architects in creation and modification of conceptual, logical and physical data models based on business/data requirements 3.       Ability to profile the data across data domains 4.       Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with product owners and Information architects 5.       Review Business requirements with Business Owners, and sign off for data requirement reconciliation activity with Information Architects 6.       Conduct reconciliation sessions with IT/QA to discuss elaborated stories to make sure that they are fully understood and are Development Ready 7.       Generate and record Data requirements, ERDs, data flow diagrams, and mapping documents 8.       Create all Data/Technical stories in VersionOne with detailed Acceptance Criteria. Experience on any other application lifecycle management tool will be good enough 9.       Provide test scenarios to QA for ETL/web service testing 10.   Provide Data Support to Developers and QA 11.   Ability to conduct system validation on application 12.   Capture Business Rule Engine requirements to build a model 13.   Review and sign off on data level testing by QA 14.   Facilitate discussion between Model Group and End Users 15.   Support Model Group on Data requirements driven by Rating Criteria 16.   Good knowledge of Microsoft excel and ability to use functions like vlookup and pivot to analyze, structure and format data 17. Nice to have: Basic Understanding of financial domain is preferred. Specifically basic knowledge of various financial instruments ( such as stocks and Bonds), Commercial/Asset/Mortgage based securities, credit derivatives, credit default Swap, Credit Ratings etc.
