Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 6 Months+
Skills Required: SQL, Teradata, MS Excel, Tableau
RESPONSIBILITIES: -
Responsible for the fundamental organization of a system embodied in its components, their relationships to each other and to the environment, and the principles guiding its design and evolution.
Usually possesses extensive experience with multiple technical disciplines, across multiple platforms.
Responsible for the design, development and administration of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures.
Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Includes expertise in data quality, data organization, metadata, and data profiling.
Data set sizes are usually huge (in excess of hundreds of millions of records).
Demonstrated ability to move from one sequential assignment to the next (work environment and priorities can change quickly depending on business needs).
High level attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to move data between production systems and across multiple platforms.
Experience with major querying tools desired
Works substantially with little supervision or oversight to deliver
Advanced Excel experience required 3-5 yrs.
Tableau and Python scripting skills 2+ years desired
SQL Tools in Teradata required 2-4 years
Ability to deliver highly technical information to a broader audience beyond the team lead while influencing within the team
Coordinating others work while involved with multiple work streams
Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels
Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges
