Job Title : Linux Admin
Location : San Jose, CA
Duration : 6+ months
Only USC and GC
Job Description:
1. Redhat/Oracle Linux system administration
OS installation using hands-off methods.
Networking
Storage management using LVM, knowledge of various RAID levels.
SAN connectivity, configuring multipathing, troubleshooting A/P & A/A clusters.
NFS
2. Ability to read and modify standard SE scripts written in shell, Python, Ruby, and Perl.
3. Understanding of privilege escalation syntax via sudo and its security implications.
4. Hands on experience in virtualization, preferably KVM.
5. Good understanding of change management process.
6. Performance monitoring/troubleshooting.
7. Experience with one or more: Puppet/Ansible/Salt/Chef/cfengine.
8. Familiarity with software code review process and build mechanics.
9. Experience in a large computing environment (5,000+ hosts)
10. Exposure to Enterprise server hardware.
