Primary Responsibilities
Migration of Infosphere Datastage assets from version 8.7 to 11.5 (Datastage 11.5 configuration) Conversion of Infosphere Datastage jobs from (Hash files - Multivalue fields) Unidata database to Oracle relational database source.
Convert current Datastage full load jobs to a Change data Capture type load
Create an efficient datastage job sequencer for nightly batch
Generate server and parallel jobs datastage routines.
Reverse engineer datastage jobs to fully understand the process and update jobs based on new database design.
Provide recommendations & consultations on the design of solutions for maximum efficiency and performance
Convert server side jobs to parallel jobs.
Update project documentation based on bank templates.
Working on Technical/Functional enhancements if required
Good Analytical and Communication Skills
Ability to debug quickly and resolve issues
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with DataStage
Knowledge of Unix/LINUX, UNIX Scripting, RDBMS,
Experience using Parallel and Server side datastage jobs
10+ years experience - Works on and may serve as technical leader on large complex systems development projects.
Responsible for the resolution of complex systems and programming problems.
Applies the highest level technical skill and expertise or project/team leadership to highly complex projects and problems.
Requires exceptional expertise in development and detailed knowledge of industry trends.
Competent at the highest technical level, understands whole systems architecture, has multi-systems knowledge and background. Possesses full systems development expertise and is considered the application expert.
Develops and trains less experienced technical staff.
Operates under deadlines with multiple project responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to analyze technical information evaluate products, services and vendors, and make recommendations.
Exceptional technical, logical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Experience working within a structured project methodology environment.
Experience in ETL Development, DataStage Development, UNIX, DB2 UDB required. Experience as a Programmer Analyst or Systems Analyst.
Demonstrated project leadership skills and/or a high degree of specialized expertise.
SKILLS:
5+ years of experience with DataStage knowledge of Unix/Linux, Unix scripting, RDBMS, Experience using Parallel and Server side datastage jobs - Required
