Job Title: SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: Contract
Below are the mandatory skills:-
1) Cloudera's distribution of Hadoop and related tools like Spark, HIVE, MapReduce, etc
2) SAP HANA for in memory processing
3) Microsoft Power BI for reporting
Solution Architect Responsibilities/Tasks:
· The primary responsibility of the Solution Architect is to coordinate and drive select project activities within the Architecture team to ensure that detailed plans, system architectures and design documents align with overall BI COE delivery plans and that business requirements are met according to scope, schedule and budget from an architectural perspective.
· This position will work with other BI COE Architects and team members to ensure that solutions are compatible across architectural infrastructures and adhere to architectural reference standards, while providing maximum operating efficiencies.
Key activities for this position include:
1. For assigned projects, coordinate the design of the data warehouse or mart schema and related data movement architecture
2. Produce the logical data models for the databases. Lead data model reviews, walkthroughs, application and module performance analyses for BI team members.
3. Evaluate requirements for their relevancy to and impact on existing models and reference architecture
4. Coordinate activities with other full time BI COE Architecture team members to facilitate a cohesive and coherent project solution, while maturing the overall BI COE architecture Minimum
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree
2. 5-7 years of experience in project related work (systems analysis and a systems development environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
3. 2-3 years of project management experience required
4. 3-5 years of data warehousing/business intelligence implementation and operations experience
5. Knowledge of SAP HANA, Hadoop or equivalent data warehousing technologies
6. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills.
